MAX J. KAYES
MA, LMFT CEO
Max Kayes is a licensed Marriage, Family & Child Therapist with over 42 years of counseling experience. He is the CEO of New Hope Christian Counseling Centers and the President of New Hope Christian Counseling Foundation. He received his Master's Degree in Marriage, Family & Child Therapy from Biola University in 1985, which combined coursework from Rosemead School of Professional Psychology and Talbot Theological Seminary. He has also been a Clinical Associate Faculty Member at Fuller Theological Seminary, Graduate School of Psychology, Division of Family Therapy. Specialties: Individuals and families suffering from depression, stress/anxiety, victims of sexual abuse, parents dealing with strong-willed children and other parenting issues, marital/premarital counseling, and child therapy. Mr. Kayes is a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists.

CHRISTINA NUNEZ

Christina is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. Christina has experience supporting couples and individuals of all ages as they navigate life challenges and pursue growth in their social and emotional wellness. She has worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and the effects of trauma. Christina is also passionate about working with couples to address infidelity, conflict resolution, life transitions, parenting, and miscarriage/infertility. Christina is committed to helping couples and individuals thrive through adversity and discover their capacity for joy and resilience.


AARON CAPEN
M.A., AMFT
Aaron is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to creating a safe, collaborative space where individuals, couples, and families can find meaningful understanding and lasting change. After nearly 25 years of military service, he earned his M.A. in Clinical Counseling and brings both depth of life experience and clinical insight to his work. Aaron’s approach is client-centered, with each person’s unique needs, goals, and values guiding the therapeutic process. Grounded in a psychodynamic understanding of self and relationships, he helps clients explore the deeper patterns and past experiences that shape their emotional lives and connections with others. He has experience supporting clients facing depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship conflict. Aaron also integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help clients build practical skills for managing difficult emotions, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, and living in greater alignment with their values. Whether you are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, anxiety, depression, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, Aaron offers warmth, insight, and flexibility in supporting your growth and healing.
