JEENIE GORDON
MS, MA, LMFT
Jeenie Gordon is a licensed Marriage, Family & Child Therapist with over 20 years of counseling experience in private practice. She is the Clinical Director for New Hope Christian Counseling Center in Covina. Former high school counselor of over 8,000 teens. Therapist in prison (juvenile) and psychiatric hospital. She is the author of 5 books "There's Hope after Divorce", "Those Turbulent Teen Years," "Hope For You--Taking Charge of Your Life." She speaks nationally for churches, schools, conventions, keynote retreat speaking (40+ topics available). Jeenie sits on the Vanguard University Alumni Board and is the on the leadership team for the Christian Association For Psychological Studies. She specializes in treating individuals, teens, couples and families on a variety of issues.

BRIAN E. ECK
Ph.D.
Dr. Eck works with couples, families and individuals. He has directed a treatment program for clients with major mental illnesses and their family. Dr. Eck has been a practicing psychologist for 16 years. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola. He currently chairs the Psychology Department at Azusa Pacific University and has published and given presentations on the integration of our Christian faith and psychology. He has also served on the International Board of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies and serves as the Managing Editor for the Journal of Psychology and Christianity. Dr. Eck can present seminars or workshops on the foundations for a healthy marriage, effective parenting, the challenges of living with a mentally ill relative, and mental and spiritual health.

MAX J. KAYES

Max Kayes is a licensed Marriage, Family & Child Therapist with over 34 years of counseling experience. He is the CEO of New Hope Christian Counseling Centers and the President of New Hope Christian Counseling Foundation. He received his Master's Degree in Marriage, Family & Child Therapy from Biola University in 1985, which combined course work from Rosemead School of Professional Psychology and Talbot Theological Seminary. He has also been a Clinical Associate Faculty Member at Fuller Theological Seminary, Graduate School of Psychology, Division of Family Therapy. Specialties: Individuals and families suffering with depression, stress/anxiety, victims of sexual abuse, parents dealing with strong-willed children and other parenting issues, marital/premarital counseling, child therapy. Mr. Kayes is a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists.

DAUREEN SANFORD

She attended Rosemead Graduate School of Psychology and received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology. She works with children, adolescents and adults both individually and with the families. Specialty areas include depression, anxiety, stress management, treating victims of sexual abuse, marital problems, and grief counseling. She has presented seminars and classes on marriage relationships, parenting, lay counseling, grief in several Nazarene churches in the valley.

Prisca has been a pastor's wife, serving for 36 years in Asian American churches in the Chicago and Los Angeles areas. In addition to English, she is fluent in Korean. Together with her husband she has counseled many couples throughout their years of ministry. Prisca is a regular speaker at women's retreats. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She specializes in marital and premarital counseling, treatment of co-dependency, depression, issues of singleness, counseling pastors and their families.

SUSAN BYRON

Susan Byron is a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist. She graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary School of Psychology in 2007, and received a master’s level degree in practical ministry from Wagner Leadership Institute in 2012. She has been providing counseling services for children, teens, adults, and families for the past 13 years. Her specialties include: child/teen therapy, anxiety, stress, depression, building strong attachments in family relationships, parenting techniques, and treating victims of abuse or trauma through the use of art and cognitive-behavioral strategies. She utilizes a holistic spirit/mind/body approach for those coping with chronic stress or prolonged illness.

Fres is a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist who obtained a B. S. in Social Work from La Sierra University and a M.S. in Counseling Psychology with a Professional Clinical Counselor concentration from California Baptist University. She has experience as an FFA social worker. She has worked for the County of San Bernardino Preschool Services Department. Provided guidance in the classroom and conducted home visits providing the preschooler and family with strategies to implement at home in order to increase participation and learning outcomes. Conducted Parenting Classes for parents and caregivers at designated preschools. As a MFT Trainee co-led Anger Management, Domestic Violence and Co-Parenting classes. Interned at the Department of Behavioral Health under the guidance of the staff analyst, researching impact of legislation on organization and training to advise management on policies and procedures regarding personnel while actively participating in the promotion of Cultural Competency in Mental Health.
