MALCOLM LILIENTHAL

M.S., AMFT

I empower couples and individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve their relationships. Using clinically tested and evidence-based interventions, I have worked with many couples and individuals in my private practice. Research shows that unhealthy relationships can cause both emotional and physical stress, whereas healthy relationships can enhance and improve overall well-being. I offer relationship counseling, and individual counseling for anxiety, depression, PTSD and relationship issues. I believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment, and I cooperatively assist my clients in clarifying their goals for treatment. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.
